Oregon Trip 2005 - Mendocino
![]() |
Sunday morning we drove carefully back from Shelter Cove to the main highway, US 101. A distance of 21 miles was completed in one hour with careful use of our brakes. In two more hours we arrived at Fort Bragg (No 28 on map) where we settled in for two days to visit the Mendocino coast area and the town of Mendocino. We found a microbrewery in Fort Bragg and sampled their brews there. It was nice. Next day we visited the town of Mendocino and browsed around the shops there. Nearby we went to the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse. The light was on and looked nice as it flashed on and off. On Tuesday morning we drove south along the Mendocino coast and stopped at the lighthouse at Pt. Arena. |
