Twin Lakes

Some years ago, when I did a lot of backpacking, I sometimes hiked into Peeler Lake
in the northwest corner of Yosemite National Park. The trailhead for this trip was
out of Twin Lakes, just west of Bridgeport, CA. I liked the rugged nature of the
Sierra Nevada mountains in this area so went back for a visit again this fall.

The lighting was dramatic on this cloudy day.

The layering of the mountain range stands out with the lighting in this photo.

The mountains are steep and rugged.
Peeler Lake is somewhere up in those mountains.
I remember there were always a lot of mosquitos there.
